The Commission is composed of members from across the world who are appointed through the Baptist World Alliance. Members and leaders are elected to serve for five years. These leaders will guide the Baptist Heritage and Identity Commission from 2015 to 2020:
Rev. Dr. Brian Talbot (contact)
Rev. Dr. Talbot is the pastor of Broughty Ferry Baptist Church in Dundee, Scotland, a tutor at Greenwich School of Theology, and Extraordinary Professor at North Western University in South Africa. He is a fellow of the Centre for Baptist Studies, Regent’s Park College, Oxford, UK, and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, in addition to serving on the Board of Ministry of the Baptist Union of Scotland. Rev. Dr. Talbot has authored numerous books and articles on Baptist history.
Dr. Karen Bullock (contact)
Dr. Bullock is Professor of Christian Heritage and Director of the PhD Program at B. H. Carroll Theological Institute in Irving, Texas, USA, after previously teaching at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Dallas Baptist University. She has been guest professor at seminaries in Uganda, Canada, and at several Baptist universities across the US, as well as tour guide and professor for Oxford, Reformation, and Great Awakening study programs for twenty years. Dr. Bullock serves in editorial roles of many historical societies and is author of numerous books, articles, and documentaries.
